Sharon Haven
Sharon was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 15, 1951 to Robert and Shirley Triebull. Sharon was the second of six children, with sisters Sharlene Schaffer, of Milton, Florida; Diane Wells, of Newark, New Jersey; Denise Sawyer, of Jay, Florida; and brothers James "Jimmy" Triebull of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Robert "Bobby" Triebull of Pensacola, Florida.
Sharon moved to Montana in 1978 with her daughters Zora and Charlene, where she met her future husband, Donald Haven. Don and Sharon were married November 4, 1978. Baby Rachel arrived in March, 1980. Don and Sharon lived on a farmstead about 7 miles northeast of Medicine Lake for most of the 1980's. Don worked at Sheridan Rural Electric Co-op, and Sharon cared for her family worked as a cook at Medicine Lake School.
Don and Sharon moved to Medicine Lake in the summer of 1988. When Sharon wasn't cooking for the staff and students at school, she spent summers cooking for everybody at Lambert Kids Camp and Bible Camp in Hungry Horse, Montana. In fact, Sharon loved cooking for a crowd, and children so much that she and Don decided to become foster parents in 1989. Sharon resigned from the school and became a full-time foster mom. This resulted in 42 kids over the years; some for only a few days, and others for a long term. She loved them all and adopted Melanie, Michele, Sonja, and Jason.
Some of Sharon's other loves were fishing, selling Avon, and antiques, quilting with Kaye and playing scrabble with Janet and Judy. She and her good friend Nancy loved spending their Saturdays together being the first ones at a sale. Always intending to sell her purchases she collected more than she resold, even though she always harped on Don for all his "collectibles" around the yard.
Sharon battled cancer and beat it one, but unfortunately it came back. Through it all she had a steadfast faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was finally freed from her battle when God took her home on June 11, 2012.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Donald Haven, seven children, thirteen grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Triebull and brothers Jimmy and Robby Triebull
